Education

I’m back at KU and right now I’m taking Statics and a SOLIDWORKS class for engineering classes.

Hobbies

Desktop Ricing

I’m on arch linux and using hyprland. My setup is pretty clean if I do say so myself. I’m using matugen to theme all of my applications to have the same colors. My dotfiles are here. One of my new joys that I have found in my linux workflow is qutebrowser. Its a minimalistic browser with vim bindings. Everything is done through the keyboard and I love it. I’m attempting to make my setup very minimalistic and eliminate GTK dependencies in favor of command line apps and tuis.

Plans and Projects

In my attempt to remove all gtk dependencies from my setup, I’m developing my own bar setup with a rofi launcher integrated. It is written in rust and I’m calling it crabbar.

The other project I’m working on is called cronwave. Its a do-it-all calendar scheduling utility that will do everything from schedule your tasks to fill out a when2meet with your availability. It is a product of my ADHD and need to organize my life. More about it here.

I’m also the Director of International Projects for EWB-KU’s Uganda project. This involves a lot of project management skills that I’m learning along the way. We are building a water sourcing project in Uganda where we will drill a borehole and pipe the water to a water tower where it will be distributed to taps around the community. This project means a lot to me and after traveling there this last summer, I am very excited and committed to do everything I can possible to bring water to this community.

The plan for this semester is to:

  1. get my schedule in order with cronwave
  2. Read more often(finish those books from summer)
  3. Code daily
  4. Exercise 3-4 times a week
  5. Implement drilling of a borehole for the Uganda project this fall
